A simple afterwork beer, a glass of proscecco or a solid good Gin Basil Smash. Below a list of bars where you’ll maybe meet me next Friday.

Bar am Wasser
stadthausquai 1, 8001 Zürich
Classic Cocktails, newly invented with a twist. Close to the limmat, opposite of the Frauenbadi, it’s the perfect starting point for a night out, after taking a swim.
All I ever had at this bar, is the «Telephone». It’s a cocktail shaker full of fruity liquors, that can be shared in shots. If you are starting a pub crawl to Zurich, this is a must.
Great cocktails and fair prices. It’s a bar close to the lake and almost every time you will find a seat. Go to drink: the Pornstar-Martini. But they also make a kick-ass Marghertia and the Basil Smash is also well shaken.
If the Münsterbar is too crowded, just go the next door: Cabaret Voltaire. A bar in the style of Dadaismus, is a cool artsy place for a drink or a glass of wine.
A small bar only 3 minutes from the Zurich main station. Perfect for a dinner and apéro. Franzos also turned into one of my favorite places because it is never too crowded, and you can have good conversations. My recommendation: a Parigot and a tarte tatin.
The bar of the 16 Gault-Millau point restaurant by Andreas Caminada offers beside haute cuisine food – high-quality cocktails, right in the heart of Zurichs old town.
A classic bar in the middle of the Zurich old town called Niederdorf. Whether beer, wine, whiskey or gin, they can mix you every drink you like. Unfortunately, it is mostly pretty crowded on weekends – so why not take a drink on a Tuesday night.
This bar close by the Limmat offers a huge range of drinks, cocktails and any alcohol/spirit you can think of. The bar has quite bad internet connection, so you have some time for talking. My recommendation: The Strawberry Club.
OOO is one of Zurich rooftop terraces. Their menu offers you taps-style food and good drinks, so perfect for an after work cocktail above the roofs of Zürich. Also in summer you can sit outside and enjoy the view over the city.
Feels like a throwback to the 80’s, where the restaurant firstly was opened. They serve a good Basil Smash and delicious pommes allumettes. The people are a little posh, but that comes with the location, next to Paradeplatz.
I actually do not like hotels bars, but the Onyx Bar is quite a pretty one. Also perfect for an after-work drink because it’s a calm but classy atmosphere. Besides an expensive cosmopolitan, you get an excellent club sandwich here.
Basil Smash is phenomenal and also the Gin Todski is great. It’s the perfect follow after eating at Lily’s, Tenz or Miki and can be topped with an ice cream across the street from Gelateria di Berna.
Small bar with also some seats outside with is lovely to enjoy the summer nights. Italian flair combined with good drinks. Some prefer a negroni, I personally go for a glass of Franciacorta.
The Tales Bar is the perfect place to go for if you are looking for a wide selection of cocktails. My favorite: The Clover Club. Also, as a snack, order the meat platter.
Elegant bar near Paradeplatz, perfect for a shopping break or after work drink. In summer, you can sit outside, enjoy a glass of Cava and watch the people hustle up and down Bahnhofstrasse.
